A community art exhibition celebrating the people, places and spirit of Arlington. Open to all - from Arlington and beyond.


Exhibit Criteria and Theme:

ACA is seeking artwork featuring the landscapes, architecture, natural spaces, events, people and special character of Arlington, MA.


Media Accepted:

Entries can be from all media, including: oils, acrylics, photography, sculpture, fiber and digital media. New media and technology encouraged! Please Note: all work must be framed, matted, or otherwise ready to hang/display.


ACA Awards of Excellence

ACA Awards will be presented for:
- best use of technology
- most innovative use of materials
- most original response to the show's title
- best depiction of the town's character
- best depiction of the town's history


Sustainable Arlington Award

In partnership with the Arlington Center for the Arts, Sustainable Arlington's "Resilient Planet" Award recognizes environmental sustainability and stewardship. Sustainable Arlington will present one or more "Resilient Planet" Awards to artits who connect with their theme for 2012 - "Locovoracious - About Local Food."


Submission Dates: March 17-23, 2012


Exhibit Dates: April 2-June 15, 2012


Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony: Thursday, April 12, 7-9pm

Tufts Street Community Gallery

The Tufts Street Community Gallery is an informal exhibition space in the 3rd floor lounge of the Arlington Center for the Arts. One-person or group shows are considered. The focus of this exhibition space is to provide additional opportunities for artists, particularly emerging artists, to share their work with the public and gain experience in exhibiting their work.
