Shakespeare in the Park

Arlington's 7th annual Shakespeare in the Park will held this year at Robbins Farm Park on Sunday, August 12 at 5:00 pm. The New England Shakespeare Company will perform Shakespeare's wackiest farce, The Comedie of Errors, featuring two sets of identical twins separated at birth who accidentally end up in the same place at the same time. Embark for Ephesus on a grand adventure of madcap madness and mistaken identity.

The performance, geared for all ages, is cosponsored by the Arlington Center for the Arts, the Friends of Robbins Farm Park, and Friends of Menotomy Rocks Park. Audience members are encouraged to come early, bring chairs or blankets and a picnic. The sponsors will sell desserts, beverages, Shakespeare novelties, t-shirts, and more.

New England Shakespeare is a professional non-profit theater company that tours throughout the region. With the philosophy that Shakespeare is for everyone, they perform in the original Elizabethan style, staging shows that are exciting, engaging, and stimulating, while remaining true to both the letter of the texts and the wonderfully unruly spirit of the Bard's earliest performances.

Parking on Eastern Ave and side streets

From Route 2:
Take PARK AVE exit toward Arlington
Follow Park Ave toward Arlington Heights (uphill)
At crest of hill, bear right at the Watertower Circle
Take 2nd right off circle onto Eastern Ave.
Park is on your Left.
