Magic Week Make a wish, create an illusion, think of a trick. We all have a little bit of magic within us. Cultivate some creative magic with your imagination and the help of wands, sorcery and of course exciting art projects and performances at ACA. Don't forget to bring a magic carpet!

Summer Week 3

Action Artist Splatter paint like Jackson Pollack, act like a shooting star or move like a mobile. Here's a chance to make art that is Action Packed! This is a week for campers with lots of energy who want to learn how to channel that energy into all forms of art. Think beyond the page and past the stage to bring energy into your artistic expression and creations.

Summer Week 4
July 16-20
Mysterious Mayans Explore the mystical and wondrous culture of the ancient Mayan people. Investigate dimensions of Maya culture such as their stories and fables, architecture, music, calendar system, their ancient glyph writing system and daily life.

Summer Week 5
July 23-27
Diary of an ACA Kid Inspired by the popular book "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" by Jeff Kinney, we will come together and recreate our individual experiences with friends, school and family while at ACA. Through art, journaling and performance we will tell our stories and see the connections between us. As Jeff Kinney knows, what might seem like an ordinary day can take a turn into the extraordinary unexpectedly... stinky cheese excluded!

Summer Week 6
July 30-August 3
Things that Fly Look to the sky and be inspired by artists, animals and inventions that defy the laws of gravity, fly and float. Through movement, performance and art explore cloud formations, Chagall, DaVinci, dragons, balloons, airplanes, birds, rockets and kites. Bring your wings!

Summer Week 7
August 6-10
Broadway! It takes a lot of creativity to pull together a Broadway show. Experiment with the different roles for artists, performers, set designers, costumers, stage hands, marketers and even the audience through art and performance. We will combine our skills and interests and pull together to create some outstanding and toe tapping art. Break a leg!

Summer Week 8
August 13-17
Rock and Roll Rock and Roll inspires fashion, pop culture and trends. Come create music, fashion and posters inspired by rock and roll music. Expect surprise performances and who knows... Elvis might be in the ACA building this week!
