I am an artist and art instructor residing in Arlington, Massachusetts. I received my MA degree from St. Petersburg State University, Russia, majoring in Philosophy and with additional focus on Aesthetics and History of Art and Design, in 2000. I continued my education at the Northwestern Institute of Printing Arts, St. Petersburg (2007-2009), where I studied painting, academic drawing, book illustration and typography. In 2015, I completed a 2-year program in Illustration and Graphic Design at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. In 2017, I completed a course on Botanical drawing at Cornell University. Since 2018, I have been a member of American Association of Botanical Artists.

I’ve been teaching for over 15 years, the last six of which mostly focused on studio art instruction to students of different ages – children, teens, and adults. I have taught visual arts at Arlington Community Education, Munroe Center for the Arts in Lexington, and the Russian Center for Languages and Arts in Brookline. I have run multiple workshops in various locations, including Fuller Craft Museum, Russian Cultural center at Tufts University, and other art centers.

I participated in multiple local art events and exhibitions, such as: “Art Walk” in Lexington, MA (2017 and 2018); “ChairFUL Where You Sit” in Arlingron, (2014, 2015, 2018, and 2019); “Art of the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway” (Munroe Center for the Arts, Lexington, MA, 2018), and other. In March-April 2109 I had a solo exhibit at Lexington Community Center. I also participated in Arlington Open Studios 2019 event and several art shows held at ACA.

My works include paintings, drawings, and 3D art (small sculptures and needle felted objects). Among my artworks, you can see still life compositions, illustrations and botanical drawings. My preferred illustrative mediums are colored pencils, and I often combine them with other materials like pastels, watercolor markers, acrylic or watercolor paints, etc.
