I make wheel-thrown pottery with the emphasis on rustic functionality, the tactile experience, and the intention of contemplation.
Nothing is finished, nothing is perfect, and nothing lasts forever.
I take my inspiration from natural organic patterns, the beauty of patina over time, and the whimsical qualities of the serendipitous.
My aesthetics explore movement and evolution through carved, faceted, and marbled surfaces with reactive and dynamic glazes and brushwork.
The objects made by my hands should feel right in yours, unique vessels from which to eat and drink while pondering life, the universe, and everything. Or simply enjoy a nice hot cup of tea.
