I turned this hard maple bowl on the lathe in my shop. I then painted the rim with iridescent paints using a fine paint brush. The blue and green paints glisten in the light and what appears to be a normal painted rim comes to life with color. The bowl can be used for anything dry, such as candy, though its best use would be for display. A display stand is included.
