The Vote #2

Pastel, paper

12" x 15"

This piece was also inspired by the right to vote, by the right for equality. Ordinary women, mothers with babies in prams, the educated and well to do, the young, the poor, all banded together 100 years ago and fought against the establishment created by white men to keep them in their place. Their courage, bravery and quiet persistence won all women the right to vote, the right we are privileged to have today.
