Staying Connected during COVID-19
We recognize the uncertainty that weighs on all of us as our communities respond to the precautions around COVID-19. While we all must do our part to prevent the spread of the virus, we as an organization also feel a responsibility to continue to engage our community through the arts in these times of extended isolation.
The ACA will be regularly compiling activities, resources, and ideas for beating the social distancing blues. We plan to use this page to update new ideas regularly, so check back often!

FREE Facebook Fridays
Every Friday at 2pm on Facebook Live
Join ACA Instructor & Board Member Chris LeGare as he streams live on Facebook every Friday afternoon at 2pm! Each week he conducts a 30-60 minute live tutorial on various art workshops that are easy to do from home with materials and tools you have lying around the house! Can't make it to the livestream? Don't worry! We'll have it available to view on our Facebook page after the event.

The Red Letter Poem Project
The ACA is honored to join the Arlington Commission for Arts & Culture and Robbins Library in supporting The Red Letter Poems Project by Arlington Poet Laureate Steven Ratiner. Originally intended as a campaign sharing poetry by a variety of poets with randomly-selected households, the re-envisioned digital version invites you to enjoy and virally distribute poems digitally, via email and social media. A new poem from a different poet will be published each week. You can read more about the project and each of the poems here.
If you enjoy them, we encourage you to forward them to friends – in Arlington and beyond – or to post them on your social media platforms with the hashtags: #RedLetterPoems, #ArlingtonPoetLaureate. Window Art Gallery Project
In an effort to beautify our neighborhood, connect with neighbors, and remain creatively engaged, the Arlington Center for the Arts challenges you and your loved ones to decorate your street-facing windows. This will create an art walk for those exiting their homes for necessities or fresh air. Post a photo of your creation on social media, use the hashtag #windowartgallery and tag the ACA on Facebook and Instagram to share your creations with us! Inspire your neighborhood and online communities to beautify their block, one window at a time. We look forward to sharing your creations on our social media stories!
