Calling all Artists & Artisans! Join the Arlington Center for the Arts for our 23rd Annual Arlington Open Studios happening on Saturday, November 13, 2021. This event will be returning to a primarily in-person event with a range of virtual resources available to visitors. Artists who work in all mediums including painting, photography, fiber, ceramics, glass, fine jewelry, mixed media, printmaking and sculpture are encouraged to register.
Location, Location, Location: Arlington Open Studios will be held in THREE adjacent buildings in Arlington Center including one NEW location for 2021:
Arlington Town Hall (730 Mass Ave)
Arlington Center for the Arts (20 Academy St, 3rd & 4th Floors)
First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington (630 Mass Ave)
These three sites are centrally located in Arlington and this will be Arlington Open Studios’ largest footprint to date! AND -- there will be a bonus site this year, as the Robbins Library at 700 Mass Ave will be holding a Books & More Sale as a part of AOS!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION – please read and save for reference:
DATE: Saturday, November 13, 2021, 11 – 5pm (Please note new end time is now 5pm instead of 6pm)
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all Arlington and non-Arlington artists, 18 years or older
FEE: $60 for ACA members, $75 for non-members (you can become a member when registering); Note: there is limited financial assistance available for artists who may be unable to pay the registration fee. Please email AOS Director Pam Shanley at email@example.com for more info.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: September 8, 2021
Special Note: Due to space constraints, registration is currently FULL, be we are still accepting waitlist registrations for AOS 2021. More spaces may become available closer to the event as we evaluate safe capacity limits for both artists and visitors, so we welcome artists to complete our waitlist registration form to be considered for spots that may become available.
AOS 2021 Info Sessions
ACA staff members Pam Shanley (AOS Director and Operations Manager) and Aneleise Ruggles (Communications Director) will be conducting a couple of live virtual info sessions to assist artists through this year's event process. Artists are invited to attend to ask questions and get advice from staff on preparing applications and getting ready for AOS 2021. These sessions will happen via Zoom and pre-registration is required.
August 5, 7pm - General AOS Info Session w/ ACA Staff Recording:
August 26, 6-8pm - AOS Support "Hotline"
ACA Staff will be available in this two hour block to answer questions, lend advice, and troubleshoot technical issues. Artists can come and go anytime within this timeframe
