Camp Policies, Forms & FAQs

COVID-19 Policies:
Based on current guidance from the Arlington Department of Health, CDC, and other local and national public health agencies, the Arlington Center for the Arts will no longer require proof of COVID-19 vaccination for campers and staff in our Vacation Arts Camp programs.
While masks are currently optional for campers, they will continue to be required for our camp staff in light of the intensive nature of the camp program.

Please note: Per CDC/ACA guidelines, a staff member or camper can attend camp on day 6 after testing positive (day of positive test is considered Day 0) provided that they have been fever free for 24 hours without medication, are completely asymptomatic, and will be wearing a mask while attending camp. We will not require a negative rapid test.
ACA is aware that public health guidance re: COVID-19 continues to change and evolve – all current policies are subject to change, in order to best align with current guidance and to preserve the safety of all of our constituents. Please be on the lookout for updated policies and protocols moving forward.

Full details of ACA's COVID-19 policies can be found on our COVID-19 Updates Page.

Refund Policy:
A $50 fee per session applies to all cancellations
• Four weeks or more before camp week begins: full refund less cancellation fee.
• Two weeks or more before camp week begins: 50% refund less cancellation fee.
• Less than two weeks before camp begins: no refund.
ACA reserves the right to cancel programs, change times or locations, and substitute instructors. If a program is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be notified by email and will receive a full refund.

Please note: ACA will offer a program transfer (as availability allows) or a prorated credit for the amount of missed camp programming for any child who has tested positive for COVID-19 (note: the positive test must have been taken within 5 days of the start of the camp program). Please contact us at info@acarts.org if this is the case so that our staff can assist you.

Late Pick-Up Policy:
Parents/guardians will be charged an additional $20 for every 10 minutes they are late to pick up their camper (after 4:15pm for regular pickup / 5:30pm for extended day). This will be to compensate the wages of our employees covering that time for your camper. If this occurs, ACA will submit an invoice to that camper's family at the end of the week.

Email Communication Policy:
Please note that ACA will use the email address, which you provided at registration, as our primary means of communicating with you. In registering for an ACA program, you acknowledge that ACA has permission to email you with important updates, as well as information about upcoming events, programs and exhibition opportunities.
Requests to be removed from our email mailing list must be sent to info@acarts.org -- in your email, we ask that you also include an alternate form of contact (i.e. phone number) where an ACA staff member can reach you with any necessary updates regarding your registration.
Media Release:
Occasionally, ACA takes photographs for use in our catalogs and promotional materials. If you do not wish to have photographs of your children used by ACA, please notify the office before the start of the session.
Sold Out or Under-enrolled Camps:
If a camp is full at the time of your registration, you will be notified and placed on a waiting list. ACA reserves the right to cancel classes, change times or locations, and substitute instructors. If a camp is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be notified by telephone and will receive a full refund. Please Note: We do not pro-rate for late signups. We do not offer sibling discounts.

Inclement Weather Policy:
Please note: ACA will cancel camp if the town of Arlington has declared a snow/weather emergency and/or town-wide parking ban. Students will be notified of cancellations via email. You can also check the ACA website.
