Arlington Center for the Arts offers a variety of fun, dynamic programs for preschoolers through teens.  Below, you can find more info about our 2020 summer arts camps, including an important update from our camp team. 

COVID-19 Updates for ACA's 2020 Summer Camps

Weeks 1-5 (6/29 - 7/31): Online Camps 
Weeks 1-5 of ACA Vacation Arts Camps and Teen Studio programs will be hosted virtually, through Zoom.

Weeks 6-10 (8/3 - 9/4): In Person Camp Programs

  • Vacation Arts Camp at St. Paul’s Church (929 Concord Turnpike)

  • Teen Studio at ACA (20 Academy Street)

  • Art Academy at ACA (20 Academy Street)

Supplies for In-Person Camps:


Campers will be expected to bring their own supplies during the 2020 camp season. Below, you can find a list of suggested supplies and supply kit order Form from local art supply store Artbeat:

ACA is offering the following online camp programs during Weeks 1-5 (June 29 - July 31) of our summer camp season: 

  • Online Vacation Arts Camp (Gr 1-3) - *3 and 5-Day options available

  • Online Vacation Arts Camp (Gr 1-3) - *3 and 5-Day options available

  • Online Teen Studio (Gr 6 - 10) - Monday - Friday, 1:30 - 4:30pm

3-Day programs runs Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 10:00am - 2:30pm

5-Day program runs Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 2:30pm

Week 1 (June 29 - July 2) *4-Day Week Only


Vacation Arts Camp: Superheroes & Villains (Visual Arts & Group Games)

Grab your cape & get ready to become art superheroes (and villains) this week at ACA online camp. We’ll make creative art projects, inspired by some of our favorite heroes/villains, and play interactive group games about superpowers and more!

Teen Studio: Digital Photography

Learn the basics of digital photography and how to take amazing photos in and around your home environment. Students’ photos will be showcased and discussed throughout the class in a supportive & positive online environment.

Week 2 (July 6 - 10) 


Vacation Arts Camp: Animal Planet (Visual Arts Only)

Campers will explore the amazing world of animals this week through art-making, creating fun and fur-ocious visual art projects about creatures both cute and creepy!

Teen Studio: Printmaking

Students will engage in fun, creative printmaking projects daily, making colorful and eye-popping prints!  

Due to enrollment, ACA has decided to offer one combined Online Vacation Arts Camp for Grades 1-6 during Week 1 (June 29 - July 2). Please proceed with registration as you normally would for your student in the appropriate section, and we will take care of consolidating rosters and communicating with students about camp details later this week. Week 3 (July 13 - 17)

Vacation Arts Camp: Treasure Hunters (Visual Arts & Group Games)

Campers will become master treasure hunters this week, as they make amazing art-artifacts and play fun improv games and creative movement activities!

Teen Studio: Drawing/Painting

Students will learn the art of still life drawings, landscape paintings, and more, utilizing their own home environments!

Week 4 (July 20 - 24)

Vacation Arts Camp: Explorations of Space (Visual Arts & Story-making)

Campers will travel to a galaxy far, far away at ACA online camp, as they explore the outer limits of space through interstellar visual art activities and come up with silly and spooky stories about distant planets.

Teen Studio: Movie-Making & Animation

Learn to make your own movies, including how to get the most out of filming with your own device and movie editing basics!

Week 5 (July 27 - 31)

Vacation Arts Camp: Harry Potter (Visual Arts Only)

Campers will enter the magical world of Harry Potter this week -- they’ll create amazing art about Hogwarts, fantastical beasts, and so much more!

Teen Studio: Graphic Novels

Students will design their very own graphic novels, learning the art of developing characters, storylines and illustrations.


Vacation Arts Camp

For children entering grades 1-6

A full day of art, music, drama and outdoor fun and games, with a new theme every week. August 3 - September 4.

Art Academy

For children entering grades 3-6

ACA’s Art Academy will allow campers interested in the visual arts to explore and create elevated, in-depth and surprising art projects, in a variety of fun & unique mediums. August 17 - September 4.

Teen Art Studios

For teens entering grades 6-10

A challenging and inspiring art class focusing on a new medium each week.

August 3 - September 4. 

Monday - Friday, 1:30 - 4:30 pm
