I love paper. I started making books years ago after taking a course about simple books to make with children, being a teacher at home with two young boys. It started a journey of learning different forms and ways of using the finished products. The process of making coptic journals lets a bookbinder be a painter, collage artist, designer, tailor and writer. Some stages of production are viscous, experimental, large scale and messy. Others are dry, precise, small and tidy. I love making objects that enable other artists and writers to do their art.
