I make coptic bound journals and collage cards. Each stage of making a journal offers a different process. The paste paper for covering the book board is viscous, colorful and makes a mess, the book board is dry and requires measurement and care (sharp knife involved!), the sewing of the signatures is repetitive and can be a meditation (stitch by stitch). The card are small composition exercises-fun and forgiving. There is commitment right away! Keep those pieces moving!
