Working from life gives energy and immediacy to art. The sun moving across the sky, the smell of autumn leaves, running water, dogs and kids playing, all these elements add to the work. I work from life as much as possible, the ability to incorporate the energy of my surroundings into art is energizing and fun. When looking at my work it�s my hope that these traces of life shine through the paint.

I�ve been so influenced by the art, music, and writing of others that my main hope is to inspire others and have them carry this excitement into creative projects of their own, into their own lives. To be part of this flow of creativity is one of the most humbling experiences of my life and I am ever grateful.
