The environment has been central to my work for several years. Right now I am focusing on the warming oceans and how they are affecting ocean biota. The subject of kelp forests grew out of conversations with my son who is a marine ecologist in Tasmania.
For the past two years I have been exploring creating large scale gelatin prints. The collages are created from the papers I use to clean my plate. The paper reflects the fragilty of our oceans. I create both large scale environments and smaller work of a more intimate aspect.
