Amy Shinerock has been working in clay for 50 years. She started out in New York City and spent time studying Japanese aesthetics in Japan. Amy fell in love with Japanese tea-ware and wood-fired pottery from the town of Bizen, came home and built a wood-fired kiln in the Catskills and now, many years later, she has a studio in Medford, MA, where she continues to love working in clay.
