I began taking photographs to document student life in the early 1970s and have continued to use it to document the often-hidden beauty in our everyday experience. For many years I focused on rusted and weathered surfaces. I roamed construction sites and railroad yards but all of that cam e crashing down with 9/11, making it unwise and unsafe to continue roaming. I began incorporating images from my travels, as well as flora and fauna I encounter everywhere. I have recently been creating diptychs and quadtychs (with the occasional octtych) and will be showing this new work in Arlington.
