Dedicated to the art of creating functional pottery, I am a small-batch artisan in Belmont, MA, a teacher at the Indigo Fire Pottery (Watertown location) & was honored with the Emerging Artist Award from the Monson Arts Council in 2023. As a full-time ceramic artist, my work is rooted in the desire to create functional pieces while consistently exploring new techniques, materials, and tools to achieve balance and originality. Starting with stoneware or porcelain, I transform each piece on the wheel and enhance it with intricate carving, colorful slips, stains, and glazes, uncovering the quiet potential within every ball of clay.
