Artist's Books and Works on Paper

AOS 2025 Location:

Arlington Town Hall, Second Floor

In my art I have always been interested in process…the continuing exchange between an idea and the contextual environment or artistic medium in which it takes form – and how they persistently change and influence each other. I work in response to something already there: moving and reshaping, synthesizing and redefining, thereby allowing a direction to unfold. In printmaking, I’m compelled by the balance between spontaneity/unpredictability alongside a required technical expertise. Collage always finds its way into my work: I love the shapeshifting of materials inhabiting a new environment. Recently I have devoted my main practice to creating artists books, allowing me to incorporate all media into sculptural objects. My work is inspired by the natural environment.
I have studied at The SMFA Museum School, The DeCordova Museum School, and Zea Mays Printmaking Studio. I came to art-making after many years of working in a variety of crafts: textiles, paper arts, and decorative painting. I am a member of Cambridge Art Association, Concord Art Association, New England Monotype Guild and New England Book Artists.
