I explore mixed textile mediums, like dyeing, painting, stitching and weaving to create my functional accessories and contemporary wall art pieces.
I enjoy the process of weaving and the unique textures that it creates. I weave small series of scarves and home accessories. I try to have an individual look for each one of them by using different color and pattern variations. For dyed scarves I use mostly a shaped-resist shibori method by folding the fabric various ways and using simple shaped templates to form the pattern for each one.
My studio is in the artist community at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, where we have open studios on the first Saturday of every month from noon to 5pm. I am a juried member of NH Craftsmens League and I am showing my work at their annual Fair and year round member galleries.
