2026 McClennen Award Recipient
Arlington Housing Authority
Arlington Center for the Arts is proud to present the 2026 Alan McClennen Community Arts Award to Arlington Housing Authority in recognition of its commitment to the arts through ongoing collaborations with local artists and cultural partners, bringing meaningful creative programming directly to its residents.

The award is named for former Arlington Town Planner Alan McClennen who was a driving force behind the creation of ACA in 1988. It celebrates local citizens who embody our organization’s mission to inspire joy, nurture growth, and build community.

About Our 2026 Honoree
The Arlington Housing Authority operates several housing assistance programs which provide direct housing in government-owned developments or subsidized housing in privately-owned dwellings for persons of low or very low income. Our mission is to provide clean, safe and affordable housing to low-income families and individuals through collaborative partnerships with community agencies while managing Housing Authority finances in a fiscally responsible manner. The AHA housing portfolio includes senior housing units located at Chestnut Manor, Cusack Terrace, Drake Village, the Hauser Building, Mystic Gardens, and Winslow Towers; family housing located at Menotomy Manor; and Housing Choice Vouchers that help participants live in privately-owned dwellings throughout the community.
