We are pleased to announce the first recipient of our new Anne Briggs Artist Award, ceramic artist and educator Ellie House! A 2018 graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, Ellie’s unique yet functional pieces are remarkable for their striking surface decorations and vivid colors. Her creative passion also shows in her enthusiastic work as a teacher, sharing her love of ceramics with ACA students of all ages.

This award honors the memory of Anne Briggs, a longtime member of ACA and prize-winning artist who worked in watercolor, pen & ink, and mixed media and whose pieces were exhibited in galleries across the state.

Through the generosity of the family of Anne Briggs, this award will be presented annually in June. It comes with a $250 stipend to help address the challenges artists face in realizing their own personal artistic goals, such as purchasing materials, paying fees to participate in exhibits, or other professional development activities that advance their creative work.
Congratulations to Ellie House!

Didn’t expect a game with little pigs shooting colors at pixel blocks to feel this clean, but here we are. Pixel Flow kept me around because it gives every move a visible consequence. Good move, the board opens up. Bad move, the pig parks in a waiting slot and now you’re carrying that mistake around. Very satisfying system.
beads out is so rude because the move that feels satisfying right now is usually the move that ruins your next 20 seconds
