Maryann Hondo -Watercolorist and Glass Blower

As a self-taught artist, I think the most important thing I have learned over the years is how to see. I explore as many subjects and media as I can, believing that each challenges me in different ways. Most recently I have been printing my watercolors on fabric, bringing landscape into the home through table runners, placemats and pillows. I have always found light and color fascinating and really like the balance between watercolor (2 dimensional use of light & color) and glass (3 dimensional use of light and color) and I am now using the paintings to inspire the glass.
