Ms. Watzman traces her love and work as a textile designer to her grandmother- as she watched her create quilts from sample patches of men’s suiting fabric- and to her entrepreneurial parents’ clothing businesses. Her love of pattern play comes from her degree and business as a graphic/user experience designer. All a natural progression and passion creating items people love to wear and use. Suzanne uses natural fibers and dyes, wool, reclaimed items, and plants to create one-of-a-kind wearable and usable art. This work, done in her home/studio- connects her to the world of artisans, global communities, history and environmental issues. Suzanne’s experimentation, travels and playful attitude goes well with the nature of this work; always full of surprises and endless creative possibilities going forward!
