Arlington Porchfest Stage | Call for Submissions
Calling all Arlington Porchfest musicians!!
ABOUT PORCHFEST STAGE
Arlington Center for the Arts will present Porchfest Stage on the front steps of Arlington’s Town Hall as part its annual Arlington Open Studios event on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 11am to 5pm.
To celebrate the spirit of our annual Porchfest event four musical acts will be selected to perform one-hour sets at the outdoor venue. If the weather is prohibitive, performances will be presented in the sanctuary of the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church.
-
Porchfest Stage performances will be offered free to the general public.
-
Musical acts are requested to supply their own sound equipment.
-
Ideally, selected acts will be able to set-up in 15-minutes prior to their performance and breakdown in 15-minutes following their performance.
-
Each musical act selected will be provided a stipend of $250.
SELECTION PROCESS
A committee of previous Porchfest Hosts and volunteers will review all applications and select four musical acts to perform.
Musical acts will be chosen based on performance quality and content, potential for performers to successfully showcase their music in an outdoor public venue, and diversity of styles and genres that will appeal to as broad an audience as possible. Previous participation in Porchfest is preferred, but not required. Selected musicians will work with ACA staff to determine their performance time slot for the event.
HOW TO APPLY
Complete and submit the Porchfest Stage Application Form, including links, downloads, and other attachments as requested.
DEADLINE
Applications must be submitted by Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 11:59pm. Decisions of the committee will be announced in late September.
